Before you apply

What volunteering here actually means

No stipend, no fake promise

Almost every role here is unpaid. We would rather say that plainly than dress it up. What you get is credit, a certificate, and a network.

Time is genuinely seasonal

Work concentrates between October and the national round. Outside that window most roles go quiet — plan around your academic year.

Remote is the default

Only jury, operations and event-day roles need you physically present. Everything else works over video.

How applications are handled

Send one application through the join page and pick the lane that matches the role above. A coordinator replies within a week with either a short interview slot or a clear "not this season".

Mentor and trainer applicants are asked for one thing up front: a short outline of a session you would run, ten minutes, any topic. It is the single best predictor of whether someone is a good fit, and it is far more useful to you than a CV.
